What Did I Miss? Weekly Recap: Pamela Hayden's Departure from 'The Simpsons,' Snoop Dogg's Upcoming Album 'Missionary,' and Max Verstappen's Fourth Consecutive F1 Title

Welcome to this week's edition of "What Did I Miss?" where we cover the biggest stories in entertainment and sports. From Pamela Hayden's emotional farewell to The Simpsons after 35 years, to Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre reuniting for their upcoming album Missionary, and Max Verstappen’s fourth consecutive F1 world title with the Buffer brothers adding flair—it’s a week full of milestones and excitement. Let’s dive in!

Pamela Hayden Bids Farewell to 'The Simpsons' After 35 Years

Pamela Hayden, the unmistakable voice actress behind characters such as Milhouse Van Houten, Jimbo Jones, and Rod Flanders, has announced her retirement from "The Simpsons" after an impressive 35-year tenure.

Since the show's inception in 1989, Hayden has contributed to nearly 700 episodes and one movie, bringing to life some of Springfield's most memorable residents. Her final appearance aired on November 24, 2024, in the "Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes" episode.

Reflecting on her departure, Hayden expressed gratitude for her time on the show and her affection for the characters she portrayed. The show's producers have initiated the process of recasting her roles, aiming to honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Snoop Dogg Announces 'Missionary' Album Produced by Dr. Dre

Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has officially announced the release of his forthcoming album, "Missionary," produced entirely by Dr. Dre. Set to drop on December 13, 2024, this project marks a reunion between the duo, reminiscent of their collaboration on Snoop's 1993 debut, "Doggystyle." The album is expected to feature contributions from notable artists, including Eminem, 50 Cent, Sting, Method Man, and Jhené Aiko. Dr. Dre has described "Missionary" as showcasing a higher level of maturity in both lyrics and production, indicating a significant evolution in their musical partnership.

Max Verstappen Secures Fourth Consecutive F1 World Championship

In the realm of Formula 1, Max Verstappen has clinched his fourth consecutive World Championship title. The decisive moment came at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where Verstappen's fifth-place finish ensured he remained ahead of his closest competitor, Lando Norris. This achievement places Verstappen among the elite drivers in F1 history, joining the ranks of legends like Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton. The Las Vegas event was further highlighted by the dynamic introductions of the drivers by renowned announcers Michael and Bruce Buffer, adding a unique flair to the proceedings.
